Halifax accountants brew up for charity
Halifax accountants, Lambert, Roper & Horsfield were brewing up last week for their ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’ for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The Union Street South firm welcomed kind-hearted (and thirsty) guests to their offices on Thursday, July 9 to share a brew and a cake in aid of the charity, which provides free nursing care for people with terminal illnesses.
Staff of both Lambert, Roper & Horsfield accountants and LRH Wealth Management put on their pinnies to bake a host of delicious cakes, buns and biscuits for the event. The largest cake was raffled off, and a staff quiz at lunch time offered more tasty baked treats as a prize.
“Everyone knows about the selfless work the Marie Curie nurses do to help those with terminal illnesses and their families make the most of their time together, so it goes without saying that we hoped to raise as much money as we could,” said Jackie Lancaster, the event organiser and receptionist at Lambert, Roper & Horsfield.
Altogether they raised £120 and Keith Lyons (Senior Partner) was on hand to record the event.
