LRH Employee Conquers Snowdon in Charity Trek
She’s used to tackling the mortgage maze, but last weekend Kerry Randall took on a much bigger challenge – to reach the summit of Mount Snowdon.
Kerry, a mortgage specialist with Halifax financial advisors LRH Wealth Management Ltd, joined a charity walk to the top of the mountain, which at 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level is the highest mountain in England and Wales.
Her dedication helped to raise £150 for MacMillan Cancer Support.
“Its official,” said Kerry, “I am now a mountaineer. It was pretty tough but I strived onward and upward to reach the top at 12noon.”
But although the thought of the view was keeping Kerry going, it was not to be that day, as she says she was greeted at the summit by “the biggest cloud I've ever seen.”
She added: “I didn’t get to witness the views, but it was still amazing all the same. I saw an information board that said that it should take six hours there and back, we did the whole thing in five hours 55 minutes and we even had a 45-minute stop at the top, so I was particularly proud.”
