Accountants Raise Thousands for Charity
Halifax accountants Lambert, Roper and Horsfield (LRH) once again did their bit for good causes during 2009, raising over £3,200 for charity during a range of special events which took place throughout the year.
The firm has long made a point of raising money through a variety of activities, which staff can get involved in. Fundraisers included a dress-down day in aid of Overgate Hospice, teams taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge and Race for Life, a tea party in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care and a raffle for the Royal National Institute for the Blind.
The final total of £3,231.49 comfortably exceeded last year's total of £1,873.48, as well as the previous record figure of £2,855 in 2005.
LRH director Nick Frost said: "We're delighted to have raised so much money for so many good causes this year, and we're particularly pleased that so many of our colleagues here entered into the spirit of things and got involved, whether it was by taking part in a fun run, trekking up Mount Snowden, or wearing their pyjamas for Children in Need.
"By raising this record amount, we have set the bar high for next year, but we're determined to have a really good go at bringing in even more money in 2010."
