Accountancy firm support the future of business and enterprise
A Halifax-based firm of chartered accountants have shown their support for the next generation of entrepreneurs by providing a new award presented at two local school’s prize-giving ceremonies. David Roper, of Lambert Roper and Horsfield, made the visit to The Crossley Heath School to present budding entrepreneur Sam Booth, with the ‘Lambert Roper and Horsfield Prize for Enterprise’, following his involvement in one of the Young Enterprise teams organised by the school. In the same week, the firm created a new annual prize at The North Halifax Grammar School. The recipient of the Sixth Form Business Studies Student of the Year 2010 was James Robinson. Unfortunately James was unable to attend, so LRH director, Nick Frost, was delighted to present the prize to James' mother. Proud to be involved in such an event, David said: “At Lambert Roper and Horsfield, we have always supported ‘enterprise’ activities in schools – making students aware of commerce and the realities of running a business. In donating these prizes, we hope we are providing a little more encouragement to the young people who will be the entrepreneurs of the future.” For more information about Lambert Roper and Horsfield, please call 01422 360788. |
