At Lambert Roper & Horsfield, you’ll enjoy a friendly, helpful working environment and the chance to develop your skills and knowledge. We support all our new professional staff in studying for appropriate qualifications in accountancy, taxation or financial services.
In audit, accounts and taxation, for example, we expect all new starters (except those with significant previous experience) to achieve at least the Association of Accounting Technicians or Association of Tax Technicians qualification, with further opportunities to achieve qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England (ICAEW) and Wales or the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
We are an authorised training office for both the ICAEW and ACCA and use high quality professional tutor firms to help our students prepare for exams.
The training doesn’t stop when you pass your final exams. Through our membership of the UK200Group’s North East regional training group, our staff undergo regular training in new developments and refresher courses.
For the Wealth Management team we expect everyone to achieve the basic Certificate in Financial Planning whilst advisers are required to attain the Diploma standard. We provide support to all staff wishing to improve their knowledge and skills and hope to have a number of people achieving Chartered Financial Planner status in the next few years.
