About us: Accountancy
Lambert Roper & Horsfield has its roots in a Halifax firm founded by Frank Lambert in the 1930s. Keith Roper joined the practice in the 1950s and today his son David is one of four directors, alongside Nick Frost, Keith Lyons and Denise Thornton, who are all chartered accountants.
We have a professionally qualified team of more than 50 providing specialist services in audit and accounts, tax, corporate finance, investment and wealth protection. We also have a dedicated payroll bureau and IT, credit control and administrative teams.
Our team uses state of the art software to deliver fast, efficient services to clients, backed up with resources including audit and accounts procedures specially written for the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) clients of members of the UK200Group, an association of independent accountants.
As a member of the UK200Group, we are also able to draw on additional resources and expert knowledge, to support clients with very complex or specialised needs.
We are also a member of The Corporate Finance Network, a national association of selected accountancy firms and business advisors, whose members offer comprehensive, practical business advice to SMEs, on issues including sourcing funding, preparing businesses for sale and due diligence.
All our work is subject to our own internal quality controls as well as meeting the high standards of regulatory bodies ranging from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales to the Financial Services Authority.
We also recognise that developing the knowledge and skills of our staff benefits helps us to maintain the quality of our service, benefiting both our practice and our clients, so we encourage and support team members to study for professional qualifications, with specialist training for our financial services team.
